Mad, Bad, and Dangerous in Plaid

Mad, Bad, and Dangerous in Plaid - Suzanne Enoch

All Winnie needed was a man from the Highlands to woo her. And he needed to figure out if he'd perhaps received a blow to the head, or if it had merely taken him eighteen years to sort himself out. To see her the way she truly was, and not for the child she'd been.

I am surprised that I managed to have enough self control to wait this long from finishing the previous book to read this book. I enjoyed the first two books in this series and was pretty eager to finally get to read about Lachlan and Rowena. Both of them were in the previous books so if you've read those you know their basic history.

Rowena has spent most of her life following after Lachlan, but after coming home from spending three months in London she realizes that she no longer she a childish crush on Lachlan. In London she actually had men that paid attention to her and liked her back. After she lets Lachlan know that she no longer wants him Lachlan finally sees Rowena as the woman she has grown into and the woman that he wants.

I loved the heat between Lachlan and Rowena. Usually I don't like bickering but I loved the bickering between the two of them. Not only were they fighting their own feelings but they also had Rowena's brother, Ranulf, trying to keep them apart (basically because he didn't want to see Rowena hurt). I love how determined Lachlan became when he finally realized how strong his feelings were for Rowena.

I pretty much enjoyed the plot up until the big event that happens towards the end. Things seemed to drag out more after that but I did enjoy how certain characters (Lachlan) reacted to what happened. I was pretty ecstatic at where all the characters end up in the end and I look forward to reading more of this series.
