How/why was this ever made into a movie? If you end up putting this down in the middle of a chapter don't expect anything to make sense when you pick it up again. This has jumped around a lot and I don't quite understand why all the point of view changes are necessary. I do have to admit that the parts about Pearly Soames (the leader of a gang of thieves who is obsessed with colors) had me laughing, even though I don't think it was supposed to. When a book starts from the point of view of a white horse you should pretty much already know then that the book probably won't make any sense.
