If You Dare

In the bright light of day, she could pretend there was nothing more to her than the driven, prickly, no-nonsense woman she showed to the world. She could pretend she didn’t want him, didn’t need him.
For some reason I thought it would be a good and same idea if I sat up all night to start and finish this book. Maybe that's because once I started it I found it hard to put down. What started off as a friendly but competitive dare turned into a sweet love story.
I really liked reading about both Lily and Marcus. They were both clearly dedicated to their work and to making the the design firm they work for as successful as it could be. I loved the chemistry and competitiveness between the two of them. There were some really great steamy scenes with those two. I liked that Lily had something in her past and I would have liked that to have been developed a little bit more.
As I read this in the middle of the night I was absolutely terrified when Lily was in the house that was rumored to have been haunted. Not all the events in the house scared me as there was something that happened between Lily and Marcus that really kick-started the story.
Overall I felt that this was a cute and at times steamy read that had some really great characters. I would have liked this to have been longer but that is probably because I really wanted to read more about Lily and Marcus. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the galley!
