Cloud Atlas: A Novel

Cloud Atlas: A Novel - David Mitchell I loved the interweaving of the different stories in this book. I pretty much was hooked with every story but the one that followed Zachary. Ugh that one I could have passed on. Don't get me wrong, it was interesting and all but I just couldn't stand all the 'yays' and 'nays' and trying to crawl through the almost impossible to read language. I felt like the first round of the short stories was better than the second round. To me the second round seemed to drag on and was quite frankly at times a bore. I didn't feel that this book was as profound as some readers felt that it was but it was still a good book nonetheless. I don't think that I was the targeted reader for this and I'm fine with that. I would recommend this to someone who wants to read a thought-provoking book.
