Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children

Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children - Ransom Riggs

Before reading this book I decided to check out what people were saying in their reviews of it. I was worried when I saw that most reviews were negative. I wondered if I should just write this book off as something I wouldn't enjoy. After I finished the book I was glad that I decided to read the book anyway.I'm not a huge fan of fantasy and sci-fi, but I connected with this book immediately. The plot was a fresh idea to me. If it didn't involve vampires, werewolves, fairies, or mermaids my interest in it grew. The characters were interesting, and there weren't any parts in which I felt the need to skim through. I felt that the ending kind of left me hanging a little bit, and I would definitely like to see this continued. I give this 3.5 stars and would recommend this book to friends and family.
