This book was an eye-opener. Of course I knew that processed foods were not the healthiest foods for you but I was unaware of the lengths that food companies would take to get you hooked and keep you coming back for more. I was horrified and disgusted by what these companies did with some of the foods that I've eaten. Luckily for me, a few years back I decided to give up pop (otherwise known as 'soda') as a New Year's resolution and haven't drunk it since. Before I gave it up I couldn't get enough of it, I would have multiple cans or bottles of it a day. I just want to throw-up when I think of all the sugar that I put into my body. I consider this book to be a must-read for everyone. It is time that consumers really start looking at what we are putting into our bodies. It is also time for these companies to start taking some responsibility for the foods that they sell.
