Pretenders

Pretenders - Lisi Harrison

I am actually surprised at how much I liked this book. When I first started this I was a bit wary about it and it actually made me feel a bit old (They referenced a member of the boy band "One Direction" and I had to look up the guy they were talking about to get the reference) but the more I read this the more hooked I was by it. I think I would have really loved this book back when I was a teen.

I was really interested in reading the journals of all of the characters which is a bit odd for me because usually there is a character or two that I don't like. This book was a 4 star book for me until I got to the end. It just ends abruptly when the shit is about to hit the fan and I was left like "What the hell?" I know that this is the beginning of a series but come on this just ended right in the middle of the story. I will continue reading this series because I am definitely interested in seeing what happens to the characters.

I would recommend this book if you are looking for a fast young-adult read that will hook you in. Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for a copy of this.
