Reading progress update: I've read 4% of "The Here and Now" by Ann Brashares.

The Here and Now - Ann Brashares

Oh geez. I just finished the prologue and I am confused as to what just happened. There were so many awkward sentences that half the time I couldn't tell what was going on. Here is a sample sentence from the prologue:

"He lost his hold on what was above and what was below, what was sky and what was earth, what there was to breathe, or even where his body began and ended."

It was extremely annoying that many sentences started out with "He..." or "She..." Don't tell us, show us. I am hoping that this takes a turn for the better once I get into the heart of the story.
