Denise

This is my first book by Karin Slaughter and I am really enjoying this so far. I've heard some praise for her other books and have been meaning to read her Grant County series and her Will Trent series but never got around to it. Now that Cop Town, her first stand-alone novel, was going to be released I felt like this would be a good start to reading her novels.

This takes place in Atlanta in the 1970's and you can definitely see that with all the sexism and racism in this book. I am really enjoying getting to read this book from the point-of-view of women police officers. Maggie and Kate both seem like really interesting characters and I am looking forward to reading more about them.
